The Carthage College women's tennis team (9-6, 4-2 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) blanked Dominican University (Ill., 7-8), 9-0, on Sunday, April 14 at the Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha, Wis.
Bari Reynolds (Jr., Sterling, Ill., 15-10) defeated Stars' Rachel Taddy, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 1 singles.
Haleigh McPeek (So., Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest, 17-6) won over Dominican's Emily Hereford at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-0.
Erin Henrickson (So., Darien, Ill./Hinsdale-South, 10-10) was a winner at No. 3 singles, as was
Abbi Howell (So., Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest, 12-9) at No. 4 singles,
Kelsey Bowen (Jr., Beach Park, Ill./Zion-Benton Township, 5-2) at No. 5 singles and
Holly Weber (Jr., Salem, Wis./Westosha Central, 13-4) at No. 6 singles.
Carthage's No.1 doubles team of Reynolds and McPeek (17-4) won over Dominican, as did the No. 2 team of Weber and
Kirsten Peterson (Fr., Hastings, Minn., 5-6) and the No. 3 tandem of Howell and
Daria Ekkert (Fr., Lemont, Ill./Mount Assisi Academy, 1-0).
Carthage travels to Whitewater, Wis., on Tuesday, April 23 to play No. 26 Wisconsin-Whitewater (16-8) in a 3:30 p.m. match at the Wangerin Tennis Courts
