Box Score The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (3-4, 1-0 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference) opened a two-game trip to the Pacific Northwest on Thursday, March 28 with a 12-11 win over the University of Puget Sound (3-5) at Peyton Field at Baker Stadium in Tacoma, Wash. 

Carthage takes on Pacific University on Saturday, March 30, in a 3 p.m., PST contest, also at Puget Sound's Baker Stadium.
 
Carthage led by two points at halftime, 5-3, and went up by four in the second period, 8-4, at 17:44.  The Loggers were trailing by two, 12-10, when Julia Schulman scored at 8:11 to cut the margin to 12-11, which wound up as the final score.  Lauren Chatham (Jr., Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) led the Lady Reds with five goals, an assist and nine draw controls, while Meghan Welle (Fr., Goshen, Ky./North Oldham) two goals and one assist. 

Olivia Nino (Sr., Pleasanton, Calif./Foothill) had seven ground balls and goalkeeper Ali Gorman (Jr., Chesterfield, Mo./Parkway Central) five saves.  Schulman paced Puget Sound with four goals and one assist.
