Carthage 6, North Central (Ill.) 3

The Carthage College women's tennis team (4-3, 4-2 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) completed its regular-season CCIW-schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 25 with a 6-3 win over North Central College (7-6, 2-4 CCIW) at the Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha, Wis. 

The Lady Reds have another non-conference match prior to the league championship, traveling to Waukesha, Wis., on Saturday, Sept. 29 for a 9 a.m. contest against Carroll University (Wis.) at the Kilgour-Trailblazer Courts.
 
Carthage's Bari Reynolds (Jr., Sterling, Ill., 8-5) defeated the Cardinals' Jenny Velasquez at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0, and Haleigh McPeek (So., Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest, 9-3) won over Katie Hatch at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-1.  Erin Henrickson (So., Darien, Ill./Hinsdale-South, 5-5) was a winner at No. 3 singles.  Abbi Howell (So., Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest, 6-5) lost at No. 4 singles, as did Kirsten Peterson (Fr., Hastings, Minn., 4-5) at No. 5 singles.  Holly Weber (Jr., Salem, Wis./Westosha Central, 4-2) was a winner at No. 6 singles. 

Reynolds and McPeek (8-2) won their No. 1 doubles match, as did the No. 2 team of Hendrickson and Howell (8-5).  The Lady Reds' No. 3 tandem of Peterson and Weber (2-4) lost to North Central.
