The Carthage College women's tennis team (2-3, 2-2 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) was edged by CCIW-opponent Augustana College (Ill., 5-1, 4-0 CCIW), 5-4, on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at the Carver Courts in Rock Island, Ill.

Bari Reynolds (Jr., Sterling, Ill., 5-3) fell at No. 1 singles to Augustana's Kim Sawyer, Sawyer winning, 6-3, 6-2.
Haleigh McPeek (So., Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest, 6-2) defeated the Vikings' Emily Kaczmarek at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-3.
Erin Henrickson (So., Darien, Ill./Hinsdale-South, 2-3) lost at No. 3 singles, as did
Abbi Howell (So., Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest, 2-3) at No. 4 singles and
Kirsten Peterson (Fr., Hastings, Minn., 3-4) at No. 5 singles.
Holly Weber (Jr., Salem, Wis./Westosha Central, 2-2) at No. 6 singles.
Reynolds and McPeek (4-1) won their No. 1 doubles match, as did the No. 2 team of Hendrickson and Howell (4-4), while the No. 3 tandem of Peterson and Weber (2-3) lost. Carthage travels to Elmhurst, Ill., on Tuesday, Sept. 18 to play CCIW-opponent Elmhurst College in a 3 p.m. match at the Lester Brune Courts.
