The Carthage College women's tennis team (0-0, 0-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) opens its 2012-13 season on Friday, Aug. 31 by playing host to CCIW-opponent Illinois Wesleyan University in a 3 p.m. match at the Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha, Wis.
Coach
Brady Lindsley (235-100, 15 years, .701 winning percentage) returns 10-of-14 letterwinners but just three-of-six singles flights and no complete doubles flights from last year's CCIW runner-up team.
First-team All-CCIW honoree
Bari Reynolds (Jr., Sterling, Ill., 23-7) leads the returnees, along with
Haleigh McPeek (So., Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) who went 8-4 at No. 2 singles in the spring after transferring to Carthage in January from Wayne State University.
Erin Henrickson (So., Darien, Ill./Hinsdale-South), with a 10-17 mark at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, also returns.
