The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (10-4, 4-1 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference) defeated conference-opponent Trine University (3-6, 3-3 MWLC), 18-4, on Saturday, April 28 at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis. 

The Lady Reds led at halftime, 12-1, and out-scored the Thunder by a 6-1 margin in the second period.  Sydney Whitaker (So., Bainbridge, Wash.) led Carthage with three goals and an assist.  Desirae Murphy (Jr., Savage, Minn./Burnsville) had three goals and a ground ball, and Anna Schweiss (So., Parker, Colo./Chaparral) added three goals.  Shelly Raupp scored twice for Trine. 

Carthage plays its regular-season finale on Sunday, April 29 by entertaining league-opponent the College of Mount St. Joseph (5-8, 3-3 MWLC) in a 1 p.m. contest, also at Art Keller Field.
