Red Men Look to Snap a Three-Game Losing Streak at Albion on Saturday

The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (7-5, 3-4 Midwest Men's Lacrosse Conference) lost its third-straight game on Thursday, April 19, falling to conference-opponent Concordia University (Wis., 7-5, 5-3 MMLC), 10-6, at Fitting Field in Mequon, Wis. 

The loss left the Red Men in a tough spot for the fourth-and-final berth in the MMLC Tournament.  Carthage now trails both fourth-place Concordia (Wis.) and fifth-place Trine University (7-5, 4-3).  Concordia led, 2-1, after the first period, 4-3 at halftime and 7-5 after three periods.  Danny Dahms led the Falcons with five goals and four ground balls, while Sam Wladyka added two goals.  Seth Molek (Jr., Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park-River Forest) led the Red Men with four goals, one assist and one ground ball, while Peter Slefinger (Jr., Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton-Warrenville South) had two goals. 

Carthage travels to Albion, Mich., on Saturday, April 21 for a 1 p.m., EDT league game versus Albion College (6-8, 2-5 MMLC) at Alumni Field.
