Box Score Carthage 20, Piedmont 9

The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (4-1, 0-0 Midwest Men's Lacrosse Conference) defeated Piedmont College (4-5), 20-9, on Thursday night, March 22 at the Walker Athletic Field in Demorest, Ga. 

The Red Men opened a four-game spring trip on Wednesday, March 21 by defeating Berry College (2-6), 19-7, at the Ford Soccer/Lacrosse Field in Rome, Ga.  In the win over Piedmont, Carthage led, 4-0, after the first period, 11-2 at halftime and 18-4 after the third period.  Keegan Bowman (Sr., New Westminster, British Columbia/New Westminster Secondary) continued his onslaught on the Carthage record book with four goals and two assists.  Spencer Ortis led the Lions with four goals, while Max Rowse had three goals and two assists.  In Wednesday's 19-7 win over Berry College, Bowman passed the 200-point mark and currently has a Carthage career-best 215 total points. 

Danny Morse (So., O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon Township) added three goals in the win over Piedmont.  On Saturday, March 24, Carthage plays a 1 p.m., EDT game against Hanover College at L.S. Ayres Field in Hanover, Ind.
