The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (2-1, 0-0 Midwest Men's Lacrosse Conference) had a season-opening, two-game winning streak snapped on Saturday, March 10 with an 11-9 loss to the University of the South (3-2) at Puett Field in Sewanee, Tenn. 

Sewanee took a 4-2 lead after the first period and led, 8-3, at halftime.  The Red Men out-scored the Tigers, 6-3, in the final two periods.  Michael Morris led Sewanee with three goals and two assists, while Pierce Leonard had a pair of goals.  Keegan Bowman (Sr., New Westminster, British Columbia/New Westminster Secondary) led the Red Men with four goals, an assist and five ground balls.  Seth Molek (Jr., Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park-River Forest) added three goals and three ground balls.  Carthage opens a four-game spring trip on Saturday, March 17 with a conference game versus the College of Mount St. Joseph at Schueler Field in Cincinnati, Ohio, beginning at 2 p.m., EDT.
