The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (0-0, 0-0 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference) opens its 2012 season on Saturday, Feb. 25 with a 2 p.m. game versus Birmingham-Southern College at the University of the South's McGee Field in Sewanee, Tenn.  On Sunday, Feb. 26, the Lady Reds take on the University of the South in a Noon contest, also at McGee Field.
 
Carthage went 9-9 last year (6-1 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference) before losing to Adrian College in the championship game of the inaugural Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Tournament at Adrian's Multisport Performance Stadium in Adrian, Mich.
