The Carthage College women's tennis team (6-3, 5-1 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) edged CCIW-opponent North Central College (7-4, 3-3 CCIW), 5-4, on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at the North Central Tennis Courts in Naperville, Ill.  Wednesday's match was rained out the previous day. 

Carthage's Hollis McPeek (Sr., Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest, 5-6) defeated the Cardinals' Cory Schillerstrom, 6-4, 6-1, at No. 1 singles, and Bari Reynolds (So., Sterling, Ill., 7-3) won over Margaret Youel, 6-4, 6-0, at No. 2 singles.  Kristina Naidicz (Sr., Kenosha, Wis./Tremper, 6-4 was a winner at No. 3 singles.  Erin Henrickson (Fr., Darien, Ill./Hinsdale-South, 3-7) lost at No. 4 singles.  Abby Ludwig (Jr., Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge, 5-4) was a winner at No. 5 singles, but Amanda Bizub (Sr., Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead, 6-3) won at No. 6 singles. 

The Lady Reds' No. 1 doubles team of McPeek and Naidicz (12-1) defeated the Cardinals.  Carthage's No. 2 team of Reynolds and Henrickson (5-5) lost their match, as did the No. 3 tandem of Ludwig and Bizub (4-5).   

On Saturday, Oct. 1, the Lady Reds play host to Carroll University (Wis.) in a 10 a.m. Homecoming match at the Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha, Wis.
