The Carthage College women's tennis team (4-2, 3-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) swept CCIW-opponent Millikin University (0-6, 0-5 CCIW), 9-0, on Saturday, Sept. 17 at Fairview Park in Decatur, Ill.
Carthage's Hollis McPeek (Sr., Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest, 3-3) defeated the Big Blue's Kendall Robison at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-0. Bari Reynolds (So., Sterling, Ill., 5-1) defeated Millikin's Hannah Church, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 2 singles. Kristina Naidicz (Sr., Kenosha, Wis./Tremper, 4-2) was a winner at No. 3 singles, as was Erin Henrickson (Fr., Darien, Ill./Hinsdale-South, 3-3) at No. 4 singles, Abby Ludwig (Fr., Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge, 3-3) at No. 5 singles and Amanda Bizub (Sr., Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead, 5-1) at No. 6 singles.
Carthage's No. 1 double team of McPeek and Naidicz (6-0) was a winner over the Big Blue, as was the Lady Reds' No. 2 team of Reynolds and Hendrickson (5-1) and the No. 3 tandem of Ludwig and Bizub (4-2). The Lady Reds stop on the way home to take on Illinois Wesleyan University (2-2, 2-1 CCIW) on Sunday, Sept. 18 in a 2 p.m. contest at Beadles-Morse Courts in Bloomington, Ill.
