The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (5-5, 4-1 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference) defeated conference-opponent North Central College (3-4, 1-2), 12-10, on Wednesday night, April 6 Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium in Naperville, Ill. The win was Carthage's fourth in a row.

The two teams were tied, 7-7 at halftime. The Lady Reds' Kate Flanagan (Sr., Wheeling, Ill.) broke a 10-10 tie with a goal at 15:02 second period, and Olivia Nino (So., Pleasanton, Calif./Foothill) closed out the scoring with a goal at 9:19. The Cardinals out-shot the Lady Reds, 22-20. Hannah Sopeth (Jr., Lakeville, Minn./North) led Carthage with three goals and three assists, while Anna Schweiss (Fr., Parker, Colo./Chaparral) had three goals. Rachel Newill (Fr., Waterford, Mich./Kettering) led the Lady Reds with six ground balls.

On Saturday, April 9, the Lady Reds travel to Gambier, Ohio, to take on Kenyon College (5-4) in a 1 p.m., EDT contest at McBride Field. On Sunday, April 10, Carthage journeys on to Wooster, Ohio, to play the College of Wooster in a 2 p.m., EDT match at John P. Papp Stadium.
