Red Men Clinch a Berth in the Midwest Men's Lacrosse Conference Tournament

The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (12-3, 5-2 Midwest Men's Lacrosse Conference) defeated conference-opponent Albion College, (2-12, 1-6 MMLC), 18-4, on Saturday, April 23 at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.

With the win, Carthage clinched a berth in the Saturday-Sunday, May 7-8 Midwest Men's Lacrosse Conference Tournament at Adrian College's Multisport Performance Stadium in Adrian, Mich. Danny Morse (Fr., O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon Township) led the Red Men with four goals. Keegan Bowman (Jr., New Westminster, British Columbia/New Westminster Secondary) and Peter Slefinger (So., Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton-Warrenville South) had three goals each, with Cory Childs (Sr., Savage, Minn./Prior Lake), Alex Szmajda (So., St. Charles, Ill./North) and Alex Zemke (So., Oak Lawn, Ill./Chicago-St. Rita) scoring two goals each.

Carthage closes out its regular-season schedule on Friday, April 29 by traveling to Adrian, Mich., to play first-place Adrian in a 3 p.m., EDT contest.
