The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (11-3, 4-2 Midwest Men's Lacrosse Conference) lost to conference-opponent Aurora University (8-5, 4-2 MMLC), 10-4, on Wednesday, April 20 at Vago Field in Aurora, Ill.

The game was tied, 2-2, at halftime, but the Spartans led by two after the third period, 5-3, and outscored the Red Men, 5-1, in the final period. Carthage actually out-shot Aurora by a 38-29 margin. Justin Bose led the Spartans with four goals and one assist. Pat Diorka had two goals and two assists, and Garrett Rosiek added two goals and one assist. Danny Morse (Fr., O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon Township) and Mason Poage (So., Columbia, Mo./Hickman) scored one goal with one assist each for Carthage. 

Adrian College (11-2, 6-0 MMLC thru April 19) has clinched the conference championship, the home field and the top seed for the Saturday-Sunday, May 7-8 Midwest Men's Lacrosse Conference Tournament. The Bulldogs will play host to the four-team event at their Multisport Performance Stadium in Adrian, Mich. Carthage (4-2) is currently tied for third place with Aurora University (8-5, 4-2), trailing Adrian and the College of Mount St. Joseph (6-5, 4-1).

On Saturday, April 23, the Red Men entertain conference-opponent Albion College in a 1 p.m. contest at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
