The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (11-2, 4-1 Midwest Men's Lacrosse Conference) was nipped by conference-opponent the College of Mount St. Joseph (6-5, 4-1 MMLC), 12-11 in double-overtime, on Saturday, April 16 at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.

Carthage College jumped out to a commanding 10-4 lead through three quarters of play but could not hold on to win the game. Red Men goalkeeper Spencer Curley (Jr., Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) had 15 saves on the afternoon. Keegan Bowman (Jr., New Westminster, British Columbia/New Westminster Secondary) led the Carthage offensive effort with three goals. Mike Upshaw (So., Santa Ana, Calif./Foothill), Danny Morse (Fr., O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon Township) and Peter Slefinger (So., Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton-Warrenville South) scored two goals each. Mount St. Joseph had four goals from Chris Uselmann and three from Anderson Morgan.

Carthage travels to Aurora, Ill., on Wednesday, April 20 to play conference-opponent Aurora University (7-5, 3-2 MMLC) in a 4 p.m. game at Vago Field.
