The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (3-5, 2-1 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference) shut out conference-opponent Concordia University (Wis., 0-7, 0-3), 17-0, on Wednesday, March 30 at Fitting Field in Mequon, Wis.

Carthage led, 10-0, at halftime and out-shot Concordia (Wis.) by a 33-15 margin. Sydney Whitaker (Fr., Bainbridge, Wash.) topped the Lady Reds with three goals and three assists. Mary Handrahan (Jr., Hawthorn Woods, Ill./Lake Zurich) had two goals and two assists. Hannah Sopeth (Jr., Lakeville, Minn./North) and Anna Schweiss (Fr., Parker, Colo./Chaparral) had two goals and one assist each, and Desirae Murphy (So., Savage, Minn./Burnsville) added two goals with a team-high four ground balls.

Carthage travels to St. Louis, Mo., on Saturday, April 2 to play conference-opponent Fontbonne University (3-5, 1-0 MWLC) in a 3 p.m. game at Gay Field.
