The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (2-5, 1-1 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference) defeated conference-opponent Albion College (2-3, 1-2 MWLC), 17-3, on Sunday, March 27 at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.

The Lady Reds the Britons, 11-0, at halftime and out-shot Albion, 40-8. Hannah Sopeth (Jr., Lakeville, Minn./North) and Anna Schweiss (Fr., Parker, Colo./Chaparral) scored four goals each, with Sopeth also collecting an assist. Natalie Ceis (So., Seattle, Wash./Seattle Prep) had two goals and two assists, and Mary Handrahan (Jr., Hawthorn Woods, Ill./Lake Zurich) added two goals. Karissa Secora (So., Brookfield, Ill./East) totaled five ground balls.

On Wednesday, March 30, Carthage travels to Mequon, Wis., to take on conference-opponent Concordia University (Wis., 0-6, 0-2) in a 5 p.m. game at Century Stadium.
