Lady Reds Play Host to Wheaton (Ill.) and Millikin on Saturday

The Carthage College women's tennis team (3-1, 1-1 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) defeated Concordia University (Wis.) 8,-1, on Monday, Sept. 13 at the Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha, Wis. 

Carthage's Hollis McPeek (Jr., Lake Bluff/Lake Forest, 2-2) lost to the Falcons' Kaitlyn Strehlow, 7-5, 6-4, at number-one singles, but Bari Reynolds (Fr., Sterling, Ill., 3-4) defeated Meagan Harrington, 6-1, 6-3, at number-two singles.  Kristina Naidicz (Jr., Kenosha, Wis./Tremper, 3-1) was a winner at number-three singles, as was Kelsey Bowen (Fr.,
Beach Park, Ill./Zion-Benton Township, 2-2) at number-four singles, Amanda Bizub (Jr., Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead, 4-0) at number-five singles and Holly Weber (Fr., Salem, Wis./Westosha Central, 3-1) at number six singles.  \

The Lady Reds' number-one doubles team of McPeek and Naidicz (6-1) was a winner over Concordia (Wis.), as was the number-two team of Reynolds and Bizub (2-0) and the number-three team of Weber and Kaitlyn Farrell (Sr., Ottawa, Ill./Ottawa Township, 2-0).  On Saturday, Sept. 18, the Lady Reds play host to a CCIW double-dual match, also at the Smeds Tennis Center, with matches against Wheaton College (Ill.) at 10 a.m. and Millikin University at 3 p.m.
