The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (4-11) lost to North Central College (4-10), 14-13, on Wednesday, April 28 at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis. Carthage led, 9-5, at halftime, but the Lady Reds were out-scored, 9-4, in the second period. North Central had a 35-25 edge in shots and a 22-19 margin in ground balls. Caroline Gully led the Cardinals with six goals, while Jessica Morgan had four goals. Hannah Sopeth (So., Lakeville, Minn./North) led the Lady Reds with four goals, while Desirae Murphy (Fr., Savage, Minn./Burnsville) and Natalie Ceis (Fr., Seattle, Wash./Seattle Prep) had three goals each. Carthage closes out its season on Saturday, May 1 by playing host to Fontbonne University in an 11 a.m. contest, also at Art Keller Field.
