Carthage Men's Lacrosse Falls to Adrian, 16-8, on April 18

The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (7-4, 2-3 Midwest Lacrosse Conference) lost to Midwest Lacrosse Conference-opponent Adrian College (8-3, 4-0 MLC), 16-8, on Sunday, April 18 at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis. Adrian controlled the game from start to finish and jumped out to an early 4-0 lead at the 11:12 mark. The Bulldogs were led Cam Staffel and T.J. Cook with three goals each. Ryan Knautz and Josh Maulata each added two goals for Adrian. The Red Men scoring came from Mason Poage, who had three goals on the afternoon, and from Keegan Bowman who added three goals and two assists. Adrian outgunned Carthage with 56 shots to the Red Men's 32. Dan Hurst collected 16 saves on the afternoon while the Adrian goalies combined for 14 saves. Carthage travels to Oberlin, Ohio, on Sunday, April 25 to play Oberlin College (3-7) in an 11 a.m., EDT game at Shults Field.
