The Carthage College men's tennis team (4-2, 0-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) lost to Aquinas College (2-3), 5-4, on Sunday, March 7 at Shadow Bay Park in Orlando, Fla. 

Sammy Ramoni (Sr., Honiara, Solomon Islands, 11-1) won his number-one singles match over Tuan-anh Tran, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4. while Jack Schiro (Sr., Shorewood, Wis., 1-1) lost his number-two singles contest to Nick Ludwig, Ludwig winning, 7-6(6), 7-5. Jeffery Lotz Jr. (Fr., Racine, Wis./Horlick, 6-3) was a loser at number-three singles, as was J.T. Delk (Sr., Wheaton, Ill./North, 2-4) at number-four singles. Matt Whiteside (So., Sacramento, Calif., Natomas Pacific Pathways Prep, 4-3) was winner at number-five singles, but Chris Vargo (Fr., Elmhurst, Ill./York, 4-3) lost at number-six singles. 

Carthage's number-one doubles team of Ramoni and Schiro (3-2) was winner, as was the number-two team of Lotz and Delk (4-1). The Red Men's number-three tandem Whiteside and Alex McLean (So., Belleville, Ill./West) lost to the Saints. Carthage takes on the College of New Jersey (1-1) on Monday, March 8 at Noon.
