The Carthage College women's tennis team (9-6, 5-1 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) edged Aquinas College (1-1), 5-4, on Sunday, March 7 at Shadow Bay Park in Orlando, Fla. 

Gina Klein (Sr., Darien, Ill./Hinsdale South, 11-9) won her number-one singles match over Emily Decker, 6-2, 7-5. Hollis McPeek (So., Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest, 14-6) lost at number-two singles. Kristina Naidicz (So., Kenosha, Wis./Tremper/UW-Oshkosh, 11-7) was a winner at number-three singles, as was Ashley Morgan (Sr., Afton, Minn./Stillwater Area, 11-6) at number-four singles. Amanda Bizub (So., Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead, 6-4) lost at number-five singles, as did Alex Maniscalo (Jr., Lemont, Ill., 0-5) at number-six singles. 

Carthage's number-one doubles team of Klein and McPeek (14-6) was a winner, as was the number-two team of Naidicz and Morgan (2-2). The Lady Reds' number-three tandem of Farrell and Amanda Bizub (So., Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead, 0-4) fell to the Saints. Carthage plays St. Mary's College (Ind., 3-1) on Monday, March 8 at Noon, EST.
