The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (6-1, 2-0 Midwest Lacrosse Conference) pounded Midwest Lacrosse Conference-opponent the Milwaukee School of Engineering (0-3, 0-1 MLC), 20-1, on Wednesday, March 31 at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
Carthage jumped out to an 8-0 first quarter, led by the play of freshmen midfielder Mason Poage (Fr., Columbia, Mo./Hickman) who had three goals in the game. The score at the break was 13-0, and MSOE scored their first and only goal with 2:39 remaining in the third period. Owen Foley (So., Highlands Ranch, Colo./Mountain Vista) had four goals and an assist, Nick Condon (Fr., Ballwin, Mo./Christian Brothers) three goals, and Keegan Bowman (So., New Westminster, British Columbia) had a goal with six assists.
Carthage travels to Ohio on Saturday-Sunday, April 10-11 for a pair of matches. On Saturday, April 10, the Red Men play Midwest Lacrosse Conference-opponent the College of Mount St. Joseph (2-8, 2-1 MLC) in a 1 p.m. , EDT match at Schueler Field in Cincinnati, Ohio. On Sunday, April 10, Carthage takes on Otterbein College (3-5) in a 1 p.m., EDT game at Memorial Stadium in Westerville, Ohio.
