The Carthage College softball team (0-0, 0-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) opens its 2010 season with a six-day, 10-game spring trip to Florida “Rebel Games” in Kissimmee, Fla. The Lady Reds open the season on Sunday, March 7 with a split doubleheader (9 a.m./1 p.m., all times EST) versus Northern Athletics Conference opponents Benedictine University (Ill.) and Aurora University. On Monday, March 8, Carthage plays Waldorf College at 1 p.m. and Misericordia University at 5 p.m. On Wednesday, March 10, the Lady Reds take on Bluffton University at 9 a.m. and the Catholic University of America at 1 p.m. On Thursday, March 11, Carthage plays Aurora at 9 a.m. and Marietta College at 1 p.m. The trip concludes on Friday, March 12 with games against Simpson College at 9 a.m. and Wittenberg University at 11 a.m.
