Women's Basketball Earns All-CCIW Honors for 2025-26 Season

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The Carthage women's basketball had four student-athletes recognized in the 2026 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Basketball Postseason Awards, the conference announced Monday. The Firebirds placed three student-athletes in the All-CCIW teams, with Malia Green earning First Team All-CCIW honors and Nora Ahram and Alyssa Orozco earning Second Team All-CCIW honors. This marks the most All-CCIW selections in a single season since 2018-19 and the most selections for the team under Head Coach Megan Jones.

MALIA GREEN | SENIOR | MADISON, WIS. | FIRST TEAM ALL-CCIW

Green led the Firebirds in 2025-26, averaging 15.8 points, per game, 4.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and totaled 48 steals and 23 blocks. Green ranked third in the CCIW in minutes per game (35.59), three pointers (49) and three pointers per game (1.96).

NORA AHRAM | SENIOR | HOFFMAN ESTATES, ILL. | SECOND TEAM ALL-CCIW

Ahram finished the regular season averaging a career-high 10.2 points per game, 2.8 assists per game, and 2.9 rebounds per game, while totalling a career-high 35 steals. Ahram ranks fifth in the CCIW in three pointers made (45) and seventh in the conference in minutes played per game (33.13).

ALYSSA OROZCO | SENIOR | SCHAUMBERG, ILL. | SECOND TEAM ALL-CCIW

Orozco averaged a career-high 12.6 points per game in 2025-26, while also seeing career-highs in rebounds per game (5.1), assists per game (2.6), steals (24), and blocks (10). Orozco also averaged a career high 29.2 minutes per game.

Thompson received the CCIW RESPECT AWARD for women's basketball. At the conclusion of every sport's season, each varsity program will recognize one student-athlete as their RESPECT Award honoree. RESPECT Award recipients have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution, and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration, and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourage inclusiveness and a positive culture.
