Men’s Wrestling Recognizes Seniors in Dual against Wisconsin-Stevens Point

KENOSHA — On Senior Night, the Carthage College fell to Wisconsin-Stevens Point, 40-3, on Friday night in a home dual at Tarble Arena.

The Firebirds worked through a challenging opening stretch as the Pointers picked up decisions at 125, 133, and 141 pounds. Chris Kish dropped a 5-3 decision at 125, followed by Evan Glowinski's narrow 6-5 setback at 133 and a 4-0 decision at 141.

Wisconsin-Stevens Point widened the margin at 149 with a technical fall before Carthage answered at 157. Zaren Anderson earned a 14-7 decision to put Carthage on the scoreboard.

The visitors responded with a technical fall at 165 and a major decision at 174. Carthage continued to battle in the upper weights, but Wisconsin-Stevens Point secured wins by fall at 184 and 285, along with a technical fall at 197, to close out the dual.

The Firebirds return to action on Saturday, January 17, for the Al Hanke Invite starting at 9 a.m.
