NORTHFIELD  — The Carthage women's soccer team closed their travel weekend in Minnesota Sunday morning against the Carleton Knights. An early goal by the Firebirds put the Birds on the board first. However, the Knights left the day with the win over the Firebirds 5-1.

• The Firebirds struck first in the 9th minute when Eve Hockerman headed in a corner kick assisted by Bella Fusco and Ruby Hillegass.
• Carleton equalized in the 25th minute, ending the first half in a tied game of 1–1.
• Carleton dominated after the break, scoring four unanswered goals in the 52nd, 61st, 81st, and 89th minutes.

• The Firebirds recorded four shots, with two of them being on goal.
• Vickie Engel collected nine saves in goal for the Firebirds.
