NAPERVILLE — Carthage College sophomore Owen Hendricks has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Volleyball Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week for matches played between Monday, March 24, and Sunday, March 30.

Hendricks earned the honor for the second consecutive week after helping the No. 6 Firebirds secure a hard-fought five-set victory over Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday in Kenosha. He delivered a strong defensive performance with eight digs and seven block assists while also contributing offensively with seven kills.

Carthage heads to North Park on Wednesday, April 2 at 7 p.m.
