NAPERVILLE – Carthage College men's volleyball student-athlete Owen Hendricks has been named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week for his performances in matches played March 17-23.

Hendricks, a sophomore from North Aurora, Illinois, averaged 2.75 digs per set for the Firebirds last week. He recorded 17 digs and a solo block in Wednesday's five-set match at North Central.Hendricks also made an impact offensively, contributing 22 kills across two conference matches.

Carthage plays Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday, March 29 at 3 p.m.
