NAPERVILLE - The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its Men's Swimming and Diving Student-Athletes of the Week.
Ben Keller and
Carson Sehy of the Carthage Men's Swimming and Diving team were named Men's Swimming and Diving Student-Athletes of the Week for the CCIW, the conference announced Tuesday.
Keller, a senior from Victoria, Minn., competed in 4 events at the Wisconsin Private College Championships on Saturday, February 1. Keller took first place in the 500 yard freestyle and the 200 yard backstroke. In the 200 yard freestyle, Keller swam 1:45.39 for a second place finish. Keller swam leg two in the 400 yard freestyle relay for a first place finish.
Sehy, a sophomore from Fairmount, Ind., competed in the one meter and three meter dives at the Wisconsin Private College Championships on Friday, January 31. Sehy scored a 254.40 in the one meter dive and 227.30 in the three meter dive. On Saturday, Sehy competed in the 200 yard freestyle relay and the 100 yard breaststroke.
The Firebirds are gearing up for the upcoming College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Championships starting Wednesday, February 19. The Diving Championships will be held on Wednesday, February 19. The Swimming Championships will be held Thursday, February 20 through Saturday, February 22.
