NAPERVILLE - The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its Women's Swimming and Diving Student-Athletes of the Week. Emily Belcik of the Carthage Women's Swimming and Diving team was named Women's Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week for the CCIW, the conference announced Tuesday. 

Belcik, a sophomore from Chicago, Illinois, posted three season bests this past weekend at the Calvin Quad Invitational. In the 50 yard and 100 yard free, Belcik clocked times of 25.00 and 53.87. In the 800 free relay, Belcik was the leadoff, helping the Birds clock a season best and take second place. 

The Firebirds return to action at Wheaton for a conference matchup on Friday, November 14. Action is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. For more information, visit our athletics.carthage.edu.
