KENOSHA - The Carthage women's swim & dive team turned in a competitive showing at the Calvin Quad Meet, delivering depth across distance, IM, and sprint events while continuing to build early-season momentum. Strong relay performances and multiple top-eight individual finishes helped the Firebirds maintain scoring presence throughout the two-day meet.

In the distance events, Brie Skalski led the Firebirds with a fourth-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle, followed closely by teammates Myah Mathews and Addison Shaffer in fifth and sixth, respectively.
Skalski later added a podium finish in the 400-yard IM, placing third with a time of 4:51.29, while Lyndsey Hackman followed in fourth at 4:57.57. Carthage also earned multiple top-ten finishes in the 200 IM, with Hackman placing third and Jill Kane fourth.
In the sprint events, Emily Belcik led Carthage in the 50 free with a sixth-place finish, and the Firebirds' 200 free relay "A" team placed fourth overall in 1:41.94.
On the boards, Kendall Leistico posted a fifth-place finish in 3-meter diving, with teammate Mae Norman following in seventh.
The women's relays continued to provide scoring depth throughout the meet, highlighted by a sixth-place finish in the 400 medley relay.
The Firebirds return to action for a conference matchup against the Wheaton Thunder. Action is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, November 14. For more information, visit our
