Manojlovic Claims CCIW Hitter of the Week Honors Following Milestone Weekend

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Kristina Manojlovic of the Carthage women's volleyball team has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Volleyball Hitter Student-Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Manojlovic, a junior from Skokie, Ill., had a standout weekend for the Firebirds at the Wis-Whitewater Triangular on Saturday afternoon, registering 14 kills in the 3-0 win over Greenville before earning 23 more kills in the five-set loss against No. 4 Wis-Whitewater. Manojlovic also tallied four service aces, 3 blocks, and an assist.

Adding to the success of the weekend, Manojlovic became the 19th student-athlete in program history to reach 1,000 kills in her collegiate career.

The Firebirds (16-9) return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 22 as Carthage hosts Wheaton in Tarble Arena at 7 p.m. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
