KENOSHA - The Carthage College women's swimming and diving team turned in a strong all-around showing at the 2025 Wisconsin Showcase, hosted at Carthage on Saturday. Competing against Division I and III programs from across the state, the Firebirds posted multiple top-five finishes and standout individual performances throughout the meet.
The squad delivered several podium-level efforts, led by Brie Skalski, who placed third in the 500-yard freestyle (5:27.10) and added top-five finishes in the 400 IM (4:56.37) and 200 freestyle (2:04.15).
Lyndsey Hackman also impressed with a 6th-place swim in the 200 IM (2:20.90), 5th in the 400 IM (4:58.30), and 9th in the 200 backstroke (2:20.38).
Jill Kane paced the Firebirds in breaststroke events, finishing 8th in the 100 (1:12.67) and 4th in the 200 (2:39.49). In sprint action,
Lucy Brown placed 11th in the 50 free (25.79), while
Sophia Melevage claimed 5th in the 200 butterfly (2:28.00).
The Firebirds' relays also shined, taking 3rd in both the 200 Medley Relay (1:53.52) and the 200 Free Relay (1:43.66).
On the boards, Kendall Leistico placed 8th on both 1-meter (149.40) and 3-meter (148.28), with
Mae Norman earning 10th on 1-meter (135.30).
