KENOSHA, Wis. — The seventh-ranked men's volleyball team of Carthage College emerged victorious in the semifinals of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Tournament, triumphing over the third-seeded Augustana (Ill.) 3-1.

Augustana came in quick, securing the lead, but a kill from David Markes got the Firebirds moving, securing a one-point deficit.
Carthage crept up to the visitors after a kill and service ace from Owen Otto made the score 9-7.
Carthage extended a 6-0 run to retaliate against Augustana's lead, drawing ahead 15-11.
The Firebirds and the Vikings traded points with each other with a deficit of no more than five before Carthage sealed the first set 25-21.
The home team were able to tie the set at eight after a small run from Augustana at the beginning of the set.
Carthage extended a 3-0 lead with two kills by Otto and one by Ben Heise to tie the score 11-11.
