ORLANDO, Fla. – The Carthage men's tennis team kicked off the 2024 spring break trip with a doubleheader against Wabash and Concordia (Minn.). It was a great start to the trip for the Firebirds as the team came away with a pair of commanding victories

 
 
VS WABASH

In doubles play, Elios Briand and Myles Krzewinski earned an 8-3 victory over Augusto Ghidini and Cole Shifferly. Cooper Ferruzzi and Francisco Silveira defeated Cole Borden and Ethan Koneneman 8-4. Marco Czosynka and Daniel Jaworski fell in an 8-5 finish to Tharakesh Ashokar and Rafael Rin. The Firebirds led 2-1 after the conclusion of doubles play.

In singles play, Silveira defeated Shifferly 6-2, 6-1. Krzewinski earned the win over Ghidini 6-2, 6-0. Briand defeated Ashokar 6-2, 6-1. Ferruzzi defeated Rin 6-3, 6-2, while Victor Pimenta earned the win over Blacke Discher II with a 6-2, 6-1 performance. Cyriac Cayuela defeated Vittorio Bona 6-3, 6-2.

VS CONCORDIA (MINN.)

In doubles play, Briand and Krzewinski earned an 8-1 victory over Isaac Maddock and Kai Pierce. Ferruzzi and Silveira cruised to an 8-0 victory over Kai Kringlie and Logan Sandberg. Czosnyka and Jaworski won a tight 8-7 (7-4) battle over Daniel Skrade and Hunter Rice. 

Pimenta earned a 7-5, 7-5 victory over Sandberg. Cayuela defeated Pierce 6-0, 6-3. Czosnyka earned the win over Maddock with a pair of 6-2 victories. Luca Okino defeated Kringlie 6-2, 6-2. Miles Whelan cruised to victory over Rice with a pair of 6-0 wins. Jaworski defeated Skrade 6-1, 6-4.
