North Central 7, Carthage 2
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Carthage men's tennis team competed against the North Central Cardinals in a CCIW dual on Friday afternoon. It was a tough battle for the Firebirds, who ultimately fell to the hosting Cardinals 7-2.

 

In doubles play, Elios Briand and Myles Krzewinski fell to Wyatt Crowell and Guillermo Gonzalez Fernandez 8-4. Francisco Silveira and Cooper Ferruzzi fell to Matt Sengphommachanh and Ramon Vilarroig Martinez 8-5. Luca Okino and Diego Silva earned an 8-4 victory over Daniel Estanislao and Rafael Lessa.

In singles play, Silveira fell to Vilarroig Martinez 7-6 (7-4), 4-6, (6-3). Briand fell to Sengphommachanh 6-3, 6-4. Krzewinski earned a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Justin Penados. Silva lost a tight 7-6 (7-6), 3-6, (6-4) battle with Crowell. Ferruzzi fell 5-7, 7-6 (7-5), (6-2) to Lessa. Victor Pimenta fell 6-3, 6-2 to Estanislao.
