Coachs Remarks
"I'm really proud of the guy's effort tonight. I thought defensively we did an excellent job of making Vortes and Carter work for everything. We ended up holding them to 33% from the floor and four assists to 18 Turnovers. Ryan Johnson did a great job of being a rim protector on the back end and Griffin's energy defensively really set the tone early.

Their style is able to force turnovers and take you out of rhythm with a 6'10 sitting in the paint the majority of the game but thought we handled it nicely and only turned it over eight times. Had a lot of good looks and we played very unselfish. A lot of new guys in the lineup this year and it was fun to see them get some action tonight!

AJ Johnson was really special on both ends and we are glad to have him back!

I'm excited for the home opener on Saturday against Alma. We need a few good days of practice and be ready to go again!!"
