Women’s Volleyball Grounds Eagles on Senior Day

KENOSHA  — On Senior Day, the Carthage College women's volleyball team swept Wisconsin-La Crosse 3-0 on Friday. 

The Basics
  • Final Score: Carthage 3 - Wisconsin- La Crosse 0 (27-25, 25-16, 25-10)

How it Happened
  • Both teams fought hard to establish control in the first set, with Wisconsin-La Crosse initially taking a 20-15 lead.
  • Carthage answered with a 7-1 run, highlighted by a block from Devinn Bell and Katie Boston.
  • A kill by Kaitie Rohe and two Eagles attack errors secured the first set for Carthage at 27-25.
  • The Firebirds carried their momentum into the second set, opening with a 9-2 lead driven by kills from Ella Pettinger and Rohe.
  • Kristina Manojlovic and Carel added back-to-back kills, extending Carthage's lead to 12 points.
  • A combined block by Boston and Manojlovic sealed the second set at 25-16.
  • In the third set, Carthage dominated as a kill from Carel and an ace from Bell widened the lead to 20-7.
  • The Firebirds wrapped up the match with kills by Boston and Bell, clinching the final set 25-10.

High Flyers
  • Kaitie Rohe led the way for the Firebirds with 14 kills hitting an impressive .636 with no errors and 22 total attacks. 
  • Kristina Manojlovic added 10 kills while Liv Carel eight kills. 
  • Devinn Bell had a match-best 32 assists while Jenna Damon had 13 digs, the 18th time this season Damon has had 10 or more digs.
