KENOSHA  — On Saturday afternoon, the Carthage College football team fell to No. 24 Wheaton (Ill.) 50-13 at home.

  • The Thunder took an early lead with two touchdowns before Carthage responded with a 12-play drive, culminating in a nine-yard touchdown pass from Bryce Lowe to Bryce Frank, making it 14-6.
  • Wheaton ranked No. 24 in the D3football.com poll, answered with another touchdown, extending their advantage to 20-6.
  • Lowe connected with Mark Hunter for his second touchdown of the game, a nine-yard pass, narrowing the gap to 20-13.
  • The visitors added a field goal and another touchdown to head into halftime with a 30-13 lead.
  • In the second half, Wheaton added 14 points in the third quarter and six in the fourth to secure a 50-13 victory.
