BLOOMINGTON, Ill.- The Carthage women's soccer team traveled to face the Illinois Wesleyan Titans on Saturday to kick off their conference schedule. After an early goal gave the Firebirds the lead, the Titans found a way to even the score and force a draw in full time.

 

• Kaitlyn Cheop found the back of the net in the 42nd minute to give the Firebirds a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
• The Titans evened the score in the 54th minute with a goal from Tegan Timerman.
• The game ended in a 1-1 draw.

• Cheop scored her first goal of the season.
• Ainsley Stallworth made her seventh appearance in goal this year, tallying a pair of saves in the match.
