BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Carthage men's soccer team opened College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) play on the road, ending with a tie against Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon. 

• Final score: Carthage 1 - Illinois Wesleyan 1

• Location: Bloomington, Ill. - Neis Soccer Field 

• Records: Carthage 5-2-1 (0-0-1 CCIW) - Illinois Wesleyan 2-3-1 (0-0-1 CCIW)

• Carthage started off slow and steady, taking four shots in the first half. 

• The Titans got on the board in the 31st minute, and maintained the lead which saw the Firebirds trail 1-0 heading into halftime. 

• To kickoff the second half, Carthage's Aidan Crowder, assisted by Christian Hinestrosa, scored within the first minute of play. 

• With momentum on their side, the Firebirds continued to fight to take the lead throughout the remainder of the game. 

• At an even 1-1, the Firebirds Jack Georgi, Luis Garduno, and Jethro Yumange had shot attempts. 

• After taking eight shots in the second half, the Firebirds ended with a tie 1-1 against the Titans. 

• Aidan Crowder led the team with one goal. 

• Jack Georgi ended with two shots while Luis Garduno and Jethro Yumange added one. 

• Thomas Howard IV had one save for the Firebirds.
