NAPERVILLE, Ill. - In their first road contest of the season, the Carthage College football team fell to No. 1 North Central (Ill.) 70-0 on Saturday to start the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) play.

• Records: North Central (Ill.) 2-0 (1-0 CCIW), Carthage 0-2 (0-1 CCIW)

• The Cardinals scored 28 unanswered points to start the first quarter. 
• North Central (Ill.) added 21 in the second heading to the halftime break. 
• The home team built on to their advantage with 14 in the third and seven in the fourth to win 70-0. 

• Chris DiVito was the team's leading tackler with six followed by Jeremy Rowlett and John Pettit with five. 
• Jordan Wiles led the offense in receptions with five. 

"North Central is a really good football team that played really well today," said head coach Dustin Hass. "We got beat up front on both sides of the football and did not play well in the secondary. We will have to learn from the film and keep working to improve in all three phases of the game."
