KENOSHA,Wis. - The Carthage men's soccer team defeated Trine (Ind.) 3-2 at home on Sunday afternoon.

• Records: Carthage 3-1-0, Trine (Ind.) 0-2-2

• The Firebirds got on the board first behind a shot from Mickey Reilly in the first five minutes of play. 
• To maintain Carthage's early lead, Aaidan Crowder added a goal, which Christian Hinestrosa assisted on in the 19th minute. 
• The Firebirds extended their early lead to 3-0 behind a goal from Mason McCaw, assisted by Samuel Riano, in the 24th minute. 
• The Thunder added two goals late in the first half to head into the half trailing 3-2. 
• WIth notable shot attempts by Jethro Yumange and Crowder, the Firebirds held on to win 3-2. 

• Mickey Reilly led the Firebirds with two goals.
• Reilly now has 32 career goals which is fourth all-time in the record books.
• Aidan Crowder and Mason McCaw each added one goal for the Firebirds victory.
• Jethro Yumange added three shot attempts. 
• Thomas Howard IV made only one save for Carthage.

"We had a strong performance today against a very good Trine team. The early goals helped us to control the game, but credit to Trine who never gave up and made us fight until the final whistle to earn the win."
