WEST DUNDEE, Ill. - Junior
Alina Brindza played tremendous golf today at the Judson University Invite to help lead her team to a first-place finish. Brindza, who took home medalist honors after shooting an exceptional 77 (three fewer strokes than second place), recorded her second-best performance of the season on a difficult course - trailing only her 75 on day two of the UW-Whitewater Fall Invitational.
First-year golfer
Toni Powers shot a season-low 91 in the Firebirds' victory, while Abby Bocock nearly tied a season-low of 90 - shooting a 91 today to tie her with Powers.
The first-place team finish is the program's first of the season and its first since it won the Texas Cup in March of 2022.
