RACINE, Wis. - After winning three-consecutive dual matches for the first time this season, the Firebirds' women's tennis team finally fell - losing 5-4 to the visiting UW-La Crosse Eagles. Giana Apostoli and Xingchen Liu went undefeated on the day, winning as a No. 1 doubles pairing and at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively. 

The No. 5 singles match between Sierra Sonnemaker and La Crosse's Ani Bulbulian was a key moment in the win for La Crosse, as Sonnemaker fought valiantly but was defeated 13-11 in a third-set tiebreaker.
