WHITEWATER, Wis. - Carthage's throwers put forth a solid performance tonight in Whitewater as the team took sixth overall;
Aubrey Schoeneman's excellent stretch continued at the Midwest Elite Invitational, as the junior thrower took first in the shot put (13.77m) and sixth in the weight throw (15.72m). Six different throwers recorded a top-ten performance in either the shot put or weight throw.

"There were few bright points at the Whitewater Elite Invite today," said Carthage College head women's track & field coach
Stephanie Domin. "The sister duo of Katelyn and
Kylie Smith started us off with personal best performances in the 5K. Katelyn had a 40-second PR with a time of 18:41.28; she now breaks into the Carthage All-Time list in the event at sixth. Kylie ran a time of 18:56.24, which also makes the all-time list at seventh."

Aubrey Schoeneman winning the event with a throw of 13.77m.
Alyssa Gulsvig (fifth) tied her PR of 12.91m,
Madison Payne (sixth) set a personal record at 12.72m, and Olivia Carel finished seventh with a throw of at 12.41m."
"We will be competing next weekend at UW-Parkside as a tune up for our CCIW Championship the following weekend."
- The Firebirds have one more indoor competition before the CCIW Championship on February 24-25, as the team is set to compete in a tune up event on Friday, February 17.
