JANESVILLE, Wis. - The Carthage Firebirds women's golf team finished fifth out of eight teams at the UW-Whitewater Fall Invitational this weekend. Junior golfer Alina Brindza (154) placed third and Sophomore golfer Lorelei Oomens (157) placed fifth in the field of 43 athletes.

• Women's golf's next competition is a crucial one; The Firebirds will travel to Pewaukee, Wisconsin's Naga-Waukee War Memorial Golf Course to partake in the 2022 CCIW Championships from Thursday, October 6 through Saturday, October 8. The start times for each day of the competition have yet to be announced.
