Firebirds Sweep Beloit at Home

KENOSHA, Wis. — The Carthage College women's volleyball team picked up a 3-0 straight-set win over Beloit on Wednesday evening at Tarble Arena. 

The Basics
 
  • Final score: Carthage 3, Beloit 0
  • Location: Kenosha, Wisconsin - Tarble Arena
  • Records: Carthage 8-2, Beloit 1-9
 
 
 
How it Happened 
  • Carthage jumped out to a 14-8 margin in the first with a kill from Molly Skoda. 
  • Later an attack error from Beloit made it 23-12. 
  • Two kills from Kaitie Rohe won the first set 25-14. 
  • Aubree Bucheger collected an ace in the second to put the home team ahead 13-8. 
  • Though the Buccaneers got it to three, Carthage won the second with another ace from Bucheger.
  • With the score squared at 14 in the third, a kill from Madilyn Danielson and an ace from Rohe gave Carthage a two-point lead. 
  • The Firebirds closed the match with a 5-1 run to win 25-21. 
 
 
 

High Flyers
  • Kaitie Rohe registered a double-double on the day leading the Firebirds in kills (13) and digs (11).
  • Madilyn Danielson had a match-high four aces while Liv Carel tallied 12 kills. 
  • Tatum Kebisek nearly tied her season-best finishing with 22 assists.
